Came here for a birthday and hadn't been here since its old location. Well known for outdoor dining it was a cold night so we sat indoors near the fireplace which was very nice and cozy. They were also celebrating an art exhibit in the front area.. the waiters were speaking Italian which added to the ambiance. I had the homemade gnocchi as well as the butternut squash soup which were just perfect. The gnochhi and its creamy sauce definitely reminded me I needed to work out that evening but it was well worth the calories so I ate the whole thing. My son had the gnocchi with short ribs which we shared a bit and that dish I think was probably the star of the night. Note for those yelpers out there, don't forget to check in for that free tiramisu.

I'm offering 4 stars because we dined on a holiday (New Years Eve) & the ambiance was very well decorated. However, the service was not the best. Once my family & I were seated, it took about 15 minutes for the server to actually hit our table even though he passed us by many times & they really weren't that busy. Not sure if the woman at the front was the hostess or manager however, we could tell that she did not care for our two year old daughter walking near our table even though we were tucked away in a nook from others & the main passing way as well as watching her. Mentioning this because I would not say that this place is "family friendly" for those looking. Once our server finally arrived, we had to ask for a bread basket even after he took our order. As someone who worked in hospitality for 15 years, when you see a child, you bring the bread. It really helps both you as the server as well as the parents. We began with a Margherita pizza that was very tasty. Hot, fresh, good amount of fresh basil, great sauce, crispy crust, & gooey cheese. That's kind of where it ended for us though because my squid ink pasta was very skimp & my partner's pork chop was super dry & over cooked. The balsamic reduction on the pork chop was so overcooked, it hardened into a solid block. We could really tell they wanted us to leave because of our daughter & did not feel welcomed. The hostess/manager even came over to ask if we were ready for boxes & the check before we even received our entrees. No hard feelings but, I would recommend being a little mindful of this considering we are still local patrons who enjoy supporting great neighborhood businesses. We will not be back but, if you are looking for Italian food in Noe Valley, you may want to give this place a go.

Came here to celebrate my moms bday and was thoroughly impressed. Inside has a lot of tables and we noticed a lot of people enjoying the back patio. We sat inside, next to the fire place. Service was very attentive and quick. We ordered the impepta and cesar salad to start. The clams and mussels were cooked perfectly and tasted great with the tomato sauce. Would definitely recommend it for an appetizer. For mains we got the rigatoni and ravioli. The pasta was cooked perfectly to our liking. There was a lot of flavor in the dishes. We ended with tiramisu. It was fresh and could really taste the coffee. Overall, we loved the food and ambiance here and cant wait to come back again.

Bacco is an absolutely favorite of mine. I adore Shari who tolerates my gluten free / food allergy self with aplomb ! Her gluten free pasta is from Italy and it's really good, like really good. Friends who can eat anything will sample mine and feel it's as good as regular pasta. I do soooooooooooooooooo wish there was an in-house made pizza. And bread. Maybe one day! Good wine list, always attentive staff and then there is Shari who is wonderful and takes helping her customers and providing Italy-quality food very seriously.
